The 3M Full Facepiece Reusable Respirator 6000 Series helps provide protection against certain airborne contaminants. Versatile use with 3M particulate filters, gas/vapor cartridges, and supplied-air respirator systems. The 3M Cool Flow Valve helps make breathing easier. These features combine to make a comfortable, practical, and economical solution. Recommended applications include assembly, chemical clean-up, chemical handling, chemical splash, chipping, chiseling, cleaning, furnace operations, grinding, laboratories, machining, masonry, painting, pouring/casting, sanding, sawing, and welding. Industries in which this facepiece is commonly used include agriculture, construction, general manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and primary metals. NIOSH, a Federal government regulatory agency, has tested and approved the 6000 Series with 3M cartridges, filters, or supplied air systems to help reduce breathing certain airborne contaminants. The 6000 Series facepiece also meets the impact requirements of the ANSI Z87.1-2003 standard, high impact level for face and eye protection. The facepiece works with these approved 3M filters and accessories: 2071, 2076HF, 2078, 2091/07000, 2096, 2097/07184, 2291, 2296, 2297, 7093, 7093C/37173, 603, 5N11, 5P71/07194, 501 and 502. It also works with the following 3M Cartridges 6000 Series: 6001, 6002, 6003, 6004, 6005, 6006, 6009, 60921, 60922, 60923, 60924, 60925, 60926, 60928 and 60929.Breathing hazardous particles, gases and vapors can be harmful to your health. 3M Particulate Respirator 8511, N95 is a disposable particulate respirator that is designed to help provide reliable respiratory protection of at least 95 percent filtration efficiency against certain non oil based particles. The respirator is designed for use for particles such as those from grinding, sanding, sweeping, sawing, bagging or other dusty operations. This respirator can also help reduce inhalation exposures to certain airborne biological particles (examples: mold, bacillus anthracis, mycobacterium tuberculosis), but cannot eliminate the risk of contracting infection, illness or disease. The respirator incorporates 3M proprietary technology with advanced electrostatically charged microfiber filter media designed for ease of breathing. This respirator is compatible with a variety of protective eyewear and hearing protection. Fitted with a 3M cool flow exhalation valve, this respirator is ideally suited for work situations involving heat, humidity or long periods of wear. The proprietary 3M cool flow valve is designed to release hot, humid exhaled breath quickly, helping to prevent an unpleasant build up of heat inside the facepiece a significant cause of discomfort to respirator wearers. The cool flow valve’s efficiency in keeping breathing cool and comfortable has been demonstrated through testing the atmosphere inside a respirator with a cool flow valve is on average 7.5°F cooler than the similar product without the valve. The 3M Organic Vapor/Acid Gas Cartridge 6003 helps provide organic vapor and acid gas protection in a variety of environments. When properly used with an approved 3M respirator properly fitted, this respirator cartridge helps provide respiratory protection from certain organic vapors, chlorine, hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide, chlorine dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide, or hydrogen fluoride. The cartridge may be used for vapor concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces or 50 times PEL with quantitatively fit tested full facepieces. Recommended applications for the cartridge include assembly and mechanical, batch-charging, change-overs, chemical dispensing, clean-up, cleaning, handling, painting, parts cleaning, pesticide application, powder, and seal coating. Inventory needs and training requirements for safety equipment are reduced because this respirator cartridge selection works for many different applications. This cartridge is commonly used in the following industries: agriculture, aluminum reduction, chemical manufacturing, laboratories, petrochemical, pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, and utilities. This organic vapor and acid gas cartridge work with 3M Half and Full Facepieces 6000, 7000, and FF-400 Series with bayonet holders. The cartridge is NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) approved for environments containing certain organic vapors and acid gases. This cartridge is not for use in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH). The cartridge has been assigned the color code “Yellow” in the NIOSH system. Recommended applications for the cartridge/filter include petrochemical and chemical processing.
