Post and Column Bases secure the bottom of posts or columns to concrete and are perfect for decks or patio covers. Models are available for attaching to existing hardened concrete, wet concrete, as well as wood. The EPB series provides a connection between a post (or column) for decks, patio covers and other top-supported structures.

The Simpson Strong-Tie PSCA is designed to brace unsupported sheathing edges when sheathing meets edge to edge without a rafter for support. This light sheathing clip provides a 1/8-in. gap to address shrinkage and expansion of roof sheathing. Inserted over the edges of adjacent plywood panels, the PSCA reduces deflection and keeps panels even to maintain a level plane on the structure. *

The vent door is latched closed until it comes in contact with flood water. Entering flood water lifts the patented internal floats which unlatch and allow the door to rotate open. This allows the flood water to automatically enter and exit through the frame opening, relieving the pressure from the foundation walls. Certified flood debris clearance is demonstrated with a 3 in. diameter opening when the flood door is activated. The flood door contains a 2 in. insulated core that has an R-value of 8.34. There is also a felt weather stripping that lines the entire vent frame, helping to keep the enclosure as insulated as possible.
